Four of the stories from this collection have been published in  anthologies or literary magazines.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\"><font size=\"3\">\u00a0<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\"><font size=\"3\">\u00a0<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\"><strong>Ed  Putka<\/strong> will be reading his short story, \u201cKolenda,\u201d a warm, humorous tale  about the blessing of the houses in his old Polish neighborhood in  Cleveland. Ed, a local judge, says that he was fortunate to have  grown up in a culture rich with stories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\"><strong>Joe  Evelyn Schwab<\/strong> will be reading from his book, \u201cOutlaws on the Big  River,\u201d about his experiences as a Wildlife Enforcement Officer on the  Columbia River. Joe will have copies of his book available for sale  and to autograph.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\">An open mic session follows the three presenters, where people can read their own material.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\">WordFest is a gathering of readers and writers who meet on the first Tuesday of each month at The Brits, 1427 Commerce Avenue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\">The events are free and open to the public.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13.5pt\">The  Brits owner<strong> Alice Dietz <\/strong>offers a select menu for those who wish to  enjoy a meal with the readings.
